A Commercial Construction Company Serving Toronto and the GTA

Odima Commercial is part of Odima Construction Group, a construction company serving Toronto and the GTA. It was established in 2015 by founder Reza.

But the story behind Odima starts much earlier.

Reza grew up around construction in Tehran, Iran, where his father carried on the family’s custom home-building business. From a young age, he visited job sites and watched spaces take shape, learning on-site planning, workmanship, and responsibility.

After moving to Canada and graduating from university, Reza started Odima Construction Group to carry forward the family tradition that shaped him. Today, Odima Commercial brings the lessons learned over a lifetime in construction – plan and coordinate carefully, take pride in the work, and build spaces people can actually use – to businesses across Toronto and the GTA.

Who We Work With

Odima Commercial works with both sides of the commercial property relationship: the people using the space and the people responsible for the property.

Business Owners and Tenants

Our team works with business owners and commercial tenants preparing to open, expand, relocate, or improve an existing location. That includes office tenants, franchise operators, medical clinic owners, dental clinic owners, restaurant owners, retail businesses, and other companies.

Landlords and Property Managers

We also work with landlords and property managers who need commercial spaces updated, repaired, adapted, or prepared for new tenants. We design, plan, and construct more marketable layouts and finishes while protecting the value, appearance, and usability of the property.

How Odima Commercial Works

At Odima Commercial, we focus on quality, organization, and realistic planning. Our team reviews your site, confirms your goals, and looks closely at timing, access, permits, approvals, and the practical limits of the space before finalizing the scope.

From there, we work with you and the assigned consultants to develop the commercial space. Once the design is approved, we coordinate the permit documents, submissions, and trade scheduling included in our scope. Municipal authorities, landlords, and consultants remain responsible for their own reviews and approvals, and the project schedule is updated when outside decisions or site conditions affect the work.

Our team also carries $2 million in liability insurance. We back our work with warranty coverage, including a 2-year labour warranty and a 7-year structural warranty. Every project ends with a final walkthrough, so you can check the finished work before the project officially concludes.

Why Commercial Spaces Need Focused Planning

Commercial projects are different from residential renovations. A home renovation is almost always designed around private living; a commercial project has to account for business use.

In a commercial space, every decision matters. The layout needs to support staff, customers, deliveries, cleaning, storage, accessibility, safety, and daily operations. It also needs to work within lease requirements, landlord approvals, building rules, opening dates, and operational deadlines.

Public-facing areas need to look right, but they also need to hold up to real use without going over budget. Restaurants, clinics, retail stores, offices, and franchise spaces each bring their own rules, pressures, and priorities. This is especially true for medical and dental facilities.

Commercial Spaces We Understand

Your business operations shape the way we approach your space. Odima Commercial works across healthcare, hospitality, offices, retail, personal care, fitness, franchise, showroom, and industrial-commercial environments. We begin by learning how your staff, customers, equipment, products, and deliveries move through the property.

Medical and Healthcare Spaces

When you operate a medical, dental, aesthetic, or physiotherapy clinic, each room needs to support a specific activity. We plan around patient circulation, staff access, privacy, equipment, cleanable surfaces, building systems, and the services required within treatment and support areas.

Restaurants and Hospitality

Your restaurant, café, bar, or quick-service location depends on smooth movement between preparation, service, dining, storage, and cleaning areas. We coordinate the construction around your kitchen plans, equipment, utilities, ventilation, drainage, deliveries, and customer flow.

Offices and Workplaces

A well-planned office helps your team move between focused work, meetings, shared areas, and staff amenities. We organize the layout, lighting, acoustics, technology, storage, and building services around your daily operations. If your office remains open, we also review practical phasing options.

Retail Stores and Showrooms

In a retail store or showroom, the space needs to guide customers while supporting stock, service, security, and staff activities behind the scenes. We connect your displays, lighting, service counters, storage, vendor installations, and delivery access with the wider construction plan.

Salons, Spas, and Personal Care

Running a salon, spa, wellness business, or pet-grooming space often involves water, equipment, ventilation, cleaning, storage, and frequent customer movement. We plan these requirements around your services so treatment, grooming, staff, and reception areas work together.

Gyms and Industrial-Commercial Units
  • Your gym or industrial-commercial unit may place heavier demands on floors, ventilation, sound control, equipment access, storage, and building services. We review the activities planned for the space and coordinate the relevant construction requirements with your equipment and operating plans.
  • Our industry experience helps us ask useful questions from the beginning. We still review your property, intended use, drawings, equipment, and project requirements before defining the construction scope.

What You Can Expect From Our Team

A Scope You Can Review

Your proposal explains what is included, excluded, assumed, or still awaiting confirmation. Clear responsibilities help you understand the construction price and the work assigned to you, your landlord, your consultants, or another vendor.

Communication Around Decisions

You receive updates on completed work, upcoming activities, required decisions, approved changes, and known schedule concerns. When we need information, we explain why it matters and how it connects to the work.

Planning Around Business Timing

Your opening or reopening may connect to rent, hiring, equipment, inventory, marketing, bookings, and staff preparation. We build the working schedule around the known dependencies and update it as approvals, information, and site conditions become available.

An Organized Handover

Before the project concludes, we track outstanding construction items and complete a final walkthrough with you. The closeout plan also identifies the remaining equipment, furniture, technology, signage, and business setup managed outside our construction scope.

Our Toronto and GTA Focus

Commercial renovation in the GTA can look different from one site to the next. A Toronto office, a Mississauga retail unit, a Brampton plaza space, and a Markham clinic may involve different access, timing, landlord, and operating requirements.

Clear relationships begin with a shared understanding of responsibilities, decisions, and next steps.

What Should I Prepare Before Contacting Odima Commercial?

Helpful details include your business type, property address, target timeline, budget range, lease or landlord requirements, available drawings, equipment information, and the problems you need the new space to address. You don’t need to have every answer. Bring the information you already have, and we will help you identify what still needs to be confirmed.

Can Odima Commercial Help If I Only Have a Rough Idea?

Yes. You do not need a completed design before contacting us. Our team will review your goals, intended use, existing space, room requirements, equipment, and target dates. We can then help you develop a practical layout and organize the next design and construction decisions.
